Sewing with a little one has proven to be much harder than I anticipated. As a new Mom I naively thought I would be able to sew a lot during my maternity leave from work, but it really didn't work out that way at all. Now that I'm back at work it's proving even more difficult to fit in sewing hours in the evenings. I'm going to just take it one day at a time and try and fit it what I can.
I found a beautiful rose print cotton in my stash the other day. This is actually another fabric I acquired from my Mother. She generously gave me a bunch of her stash fabric, as she's not sewing as much these days. I have serious stash envy of all the sewers out there who have access to great fabric stores with tons of quality fabric. My stash is pathetic since I'm restricted to mostly online shopping and it's hard to make decisions when it's all online.

I've decided this would look great as an Alma Blouse! This will be my first try at a Sewaholic pattern and I'm very excited. My body type is very much a pear-shape and I've been really eager to try some of Tasia's gorgeous designs.
I'm still trying to regain my pre-pregnancy figure so I had to cut this rather large. It'll be great to add to my wardrobe, though as none of my pre-pregnancy clothing fits at all and I've been re-wearing all my maternity clothes.
Here are some progress pictures. I'm making view B and including the sash as well.

I'm hoping to get the collar done tonight, if my little girl allows it!
And now for my latest running picture. Here's the river trail I run during my lunch breaks at work. So gorgeous and meditative:
Happy sewing everyone!
